“ The food & service was excellent, we loved it so much we went twice in one week whilst staying in Lanchester. My husband had the fresh Calamari to start & he was very impressed, he has eaten Calamari all over the world & said this was the best he had ever tasted. I particularly enjoyed the Goat's cheese bruschetta starter & beef strogonoff main. We also tried fillet steaks & they too were delicious & cooked to perfection. I can not fault this place & would highly recommend to anyone. ”
“ We though well... a little nibble before starting won’t hurt us... Watch out! ordering the share platter for two as a starter, it’s a WHOLE MEAL in itself! A GIGANTIC plate arrived at the table and as it landed, we thought: how are we going to finish this? Anyway, all good nicely presented, but a bit embarrassed while ordering the main.... So we finished by a starter that was well cooked, well-presented and normal proportion. Nice wine , good service. ”
“ Been a while since we visited Ravello in Lanchester but have to say we were pleased we were able to go again on Bank Holiday Monday as this place is in our opinion is fabulous and worthy of a top review. Everything about this place is exceptional, the food, service , ambiance is just so good. Eating out is becoming more expensive these days that I realise but if you want to treat yourself make this place top of your list to visit as we can't praise it enough. FANTASTIC. ”
“ First visit, won't be the last. Popular with my friends, but never been myself. Good selection of wines, great tasting. Food well presented and well portioned!, note -- if you have the Calzone you might not have room for dessert. Good varied menu, some items not available but alternatives discussed and offered. Staff were efficient and very friendly. A good experience. ”
“ Visited Ravello in Lanchester last night. Glad we booked because even on a Monday night in January it was almost full, which was lovely to see, a nice atmosphere. The menu has a great selection and there were several delicious sounding specials, predominantly seafood. To start we had mussels marinara and a goat cheese bruschetta - the latter was a huge portion, we could have shared it! Then I had a fillet steak with chips and my companion a tuna steak from the special board.. both were delicious and I have to shout out my fillet steak at 28 was better and cheaper than most steak restaurants. We had a couple of large glasses of wine and a beer, total was 100.. not a cheap meal but worth it for such a good one. My only critique is no draught beer/lager, only small bottles. Service was quick and friendly despite being rather busy.. but I've never seen the place empty. A credit to our village! ”
“ Must be one of the very best restaurants in the area. We were recomended by Donatella who really knows her Italian food, everything was amazing, the food, service and atmosphere- very, very impressive. To be honest recently we had lost all enthusiasm for dining out as meal after meal just was not good at all, this was different class, very reasonable prices too. ”
“ We came here yesterday for a family dinner as the Greek restaurant we normally go to was unexpectedly closed. My dad does not like change but this place was so great he embraced it. The food is really good, loads of choice and plenty for vegetarians - they also make adjustments (I had carbonara without meat). The staff are outstanding though, really attentive, nothing is a bother, really fast service even though it was busy. Will definitely come again. ”
“ First time here and won’t be my last, the restaurant is vibrant and busy with a romantic atmosphere. The food was incredible and service good. 2 minor suggestions are you should get a wafer with your ice cream and a biscotti with your coffee but other than that perfect. Highly recommend the tiramisu. Parking nearby to the rear ”
